QuickBooks Time

The clock against the schedule every morning. Hours against the quote every week.

What it does with QuickBooks Time

It connects to your QuickBooks Time and reads clock-ins, clock-outs, job codes and timesheet notes. Each morning it compares the clock with the schedule and tells you who isn't in. Each week it puts hours logged next to hours quoted on every open job and flags the ones running over. Before payroll it lists the missed clock-outs and the hours on the wrong job, and asks each person to fix their own. It reads the timesheet notes for extra work that hasn't been billed. It mirrors the crew schedule onto Google Calendar if you want it there.

Four texts you could send
  1. Every morning, tell me who's on the schedule today and hasn't clocked in.

  2. Every Friday, hours logged against hours quoted, job by job, and flag the ones running over.

  3. Before payroll, list the missed clock-outs and ask each person to fix theirs.

  4. Every Friday, send me a spreadsheet of hours by crew member and job.

What it reads, what it writes

Refreshes
Every day, and the moment something changes where the system tells us.
Cleans
Duplicates, blanks and conflicts in what it reads, logged with before and after.
Who wins
QuickBooks Time stays your system of record for what it holds. It never overwrites a record you changed by hand without telling you.

Questions

Will it change a timesheet?
No. Any correction comes to you, or to the crew member, as a proposed fix first.
Does it do payroll?
No. It reports the hours. Payroll stays where it is.
