Google Photos
Site photos on the job, dated and labelled, and only the ones you pick.
What it does with Google Photos
It connects to your Google Photos through a picker: it sends you a link, you choose the photos, and those are the only ones that come across. They're filed to the named job with the date and who was there. Every Friday it asks each crew lead to pick their progress photos. When a job finishes it lays the befores and afters out as a recap to send with the invoice.
Send me a picker link for today's roof job and file what I choose to the job.
Every Friday, ask each crew lead to pick their progress photos.
Pull the photos I took at the Oak St job today into the job record.
When the Maple St job finishes, build the before-and-after recap for the customer.
What it reads, what it writes
- Refreshes
- Every day, and the moment something changes where the system tells us.
- Cleans
- Duplicates, blanks and conflicts in what it reads, logged with before and after.
- Who wins
- Google Photos stays your system of record for what it holds. It never overwrites a record you changed by hand without telling you.
Questions
- Can it see my whole photo library?
- No. Nothing comes across unless you pick it.
- Do the crew need Google Photos?
- No. A photo texted to the thread files the same way.
